Great interview, if painful at times to listen to. The truth hurts! It ain't enough to be good at what you do; you've got to get out there and promote, promote, promote. For some of us, it is always an uncomfortable situation to be putting ourselves forward all the time. Especially those close to you--even when I send out our goofy little mailings, I wonder how many times I can go to the well before people say "We don't want to hear it anymore."

I appreciate Carol's comment about the gift of performing--it's what keeps us sane.

And as long as I'm promoting, come on down to Craggie Brewing on Nov. 11, 7-9 pm. We ain't got no tattoos, we ain't good looking, but we know how to get the skillet hot for some southern-fried rock & roll that you ain't heard before. (There, I did it...)
