Welcome to What It Is Radio!
What It Is Radio is hosted by Joe Kendrick. The show airs weekdays around 10:15 a.m. during WNCW's Morning Music Mix with Martin Anderson. The show is a series of conversations with host Joe Kendrick and two or more panelists talking about the music that helps define who we are. With What It Is, we examine our collective musical psyche in educational and (we hope) entertaining sessions that give listeners a few free minutes on the couch. We discuss topics such as all-time great artists, memorable concerts, specific years in music, reviews of new albums, band names both good and bad, holiday themes, and so on. We seek input from listeners on each topic and - each Friday - Martin Anderson and Joe Kendrick do a live recap of the week's segments and read listeners' emails on air.

Special features include Monday Mojo (an hour of blues on the bluest of days) each Monday, as well as live performances from WNCW's world-famous Studio B and local features and music specials throughout the week.
